Date/Time
2 Nov 2015 until 8 Nov 2015

The central bank have recently announced a National roll-out of their “rounding- up” initiative, in effect removing 1c

and 2c coins from circulation. Change for Charity is a nonfor- profit campaign founded by Norma Smurfit which

brings five Irish charities together, the Irish Heart Foundation, St Francis Hospice, Our Lady’s Hospice and

Care Services, Gaisce- the President’s Awards and IrishAutism Action. Each charity will receive an equal portion

of the funds raised by Change for Charity, with a sixth equal portion going to smaller charities, community

projects and youth groups. We are asking people tobring their jar, bottle or bag of coins, put them

into one of the thousands of receptacles locatedall around the country including all branches of

Allied Irish Bank and Bank of Ireland. It may notsound like it will make a difference but there is currently

35 million worth of copper coins in circulation! Even afraction of that would make such a difference to the Irish

Heart Foundation. Thank you for your support, even small change can make a difference!
